Response to Fake news: Illegal and subversive media outlet spreading fake news

One of the illegal and subversive media outlets is propagating fake news, alleging that security forces in PanTaiChon village of Pakokku township, Magwe Region made investigation in the village and burned the houses after they were attacked by terrorists on the 2nd of May.

Regarding the news, a security member stressed that the news is not true and security forces are just increasing security issues in the area. As the security forces are protecting the lives and properties of the people and conducting the security measures for prevailing peace in the region, malicious news media are spreading fake news intentionally in order to make the public panic.
