Election matters: UEC Chairman held a meeting with UEC members

The Chairman of Union Election Commission U Ko Ko held a meeting with the UEC members and personnel at the meeting hall of the UEC Office in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on Monday.

At the meeting, UEC Chairman said the UEC has to hold the free and fair multiparty democracy election which includes as the fifth objective of future roadmap of the State Administration Council. As the forthcoming election unlike the ordinary General election is the one to redeem the dignity of the election which lose in the disgraceful 2020 election, bring the trust of the voters and the political parties, that election will be the one which makes the history.

The UEC Chairman also elaborated the duties and functions of the UEC and work processes to be undertaken. The meeting was attended by the members of Union Election Commission and the officers from the UEC Office, it’s learnt.
