Prime minister Modi inaugurates projects in Jharkhand

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins visit to three eastern states with Jharkhand yesterday. During his visit, the Prime Minister inaugurated several development projects in Jharkhand’s Sindri. The projects cater to fertilizer, rail, power and coal sectors.

PM Modi inaugurated the Sindri Fertilizer Plant of Hindustan Fertilizer and Chemicals Limited to the nation. Developed at a cost of more than Rs 8900 crore, the fertiliser plant is a step towards self-sufficiency in the Urea Sector. Furthermore, he also inaugurated Unit-1 of North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project in Chatra village of the state.  Developed at a cost of over Rs 7500 crore, the project will improve power supply in the area.
