US pledges $3 billion to green climate fund at COP28

The United States will contribute 3 billion USD to a global climate fund, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris said on Saturday in Dubai at the UN’s COP28 climate summit. The last US contribution to the fund for developing countries was made under then President Barack Obama, who committed $3 billion in 2014. The new money will go into the Green Climate Fund, which was created in 2010.
