China reports 39 new COVID-19 cases, all imported

Chinese health authority said on Friday that it received reports of 39 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday, and all of them were imported ones. According to the National Health Commission, there were three new deaths, and 31 new suspected cases were reported on Thursday.

Reports from 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps showed that there were 6,569 confirmed cases still in existence, including 2,136 severe cases, and the remaining number of suspected patients was 104. The accumulative confirmed cases on the mainland added up to 80,967. On Thursday, no new confirmed case of novel coronavirus was reported in Hubei. By the end of Thursday, a total of 333 confirmed cases had been reported in China's Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions and Taiwan region, with 208 in Hong Kong, 17 in Macao and 108 in Taiwan.
