Awareness Seminar: Clarification on People’s Military Service Law

People’s Military Service Law Awareness seminar was held at the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism on Friday. The seminar was attended by Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khine, Deputy Minister U Phyo Zaw Soe, departmental personals and staff as well as staff from Directorate of Hotels and Tourism Region/State branches via online.

At the event, the Union Minister said this seminar aimed to raise awareness about the People’s Military Service law and to inform the staff not to believe the fake news spreading on social media. Not only Myanmar but also the other countries have been using the People’s Military Service Law.

Every citizen has responsibility to safeguard the three main national causes, to learn the military skill and to be ready to serve the defence duties if needed. National Service is the only way for participation of all the national forces in the country. She added that all the staff need to learn the People’s Military Service Law and have to distribute the true news to family members.

The Union Minister urged the staff to follow the law and regulations set by the State and the Ministry and to serve for the interest of the State, Ministry and People. The event concluded after elaborating the facts and intention of enforcing the People’s Military Service Law.
