Religious Ceremonies: CM participates in ‘Soon’ offering and donation in Bago

Bago Region Government offered ‘Soon’ (day meal) to members of the Sangha and nuns sitting for the 37th Thamanaykyaw Linkara exam at the Voice of Buddha Dhamma Beikman and ShweKyaungTaw Kyaukpandaung Community Hall in Bago Township.

Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and officials attended this soon offering ceremony before viewing the exam process. It’s reported that 1,640 members of the Sangha and nuns from regions and states registered to sit for the 37th Thamanaykyaw Linkara exam in Bago from 27 to 29 of December.

Also, in commemoration of the successful Shwethalyaung Pagoda Buddha Pujaniya Festival, the Chief Minister and officials as well as well-wishers donated rice, cash and offertories to members of the Sangha and nuns.
