Youth Affairs: Awareness Talks commemorating the 76th Independence Day

With the aims to encourage the skills of talents and promote the youth affairs for the development of the country, an Awareness Talks on Youth Affairs, commemorating the 76th Independence Day, was held at the convocation hall of Agriculture University (Yayzin) on Thursday and it was attended by Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung.

At the ceremony, the Union Minister made a speech saying that the government has been carrying out to promote the skills of young people which are the major resources of development and long lasting of the country.  He urged young people to cooperate in the conservation activities of religion, culture, and heritage for ensuring peace and stability of the country.

He called for participation of youths in law enforcement activities while abiding by the existing law and regulations. Next, the Secretary of the Myanmar Youth Affairs Central Committee Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs explained the purpose of organizing the event. Next, author Thet Thet Nwe (Yangon University) gave a lecture and made discussion under the topic of youth patriotism in Myanmar Independence struggle.

The second part of the ceremony continued with Quiz Program, and prizes were awarded. And the Department of Youth Affairs entertained with physical fitness demonstration.

Then, the Deputy Ministers presented sports equipment and honorary gifts to the students from the Agriculture University, University of Veterinary Science, and the Agriculture Institute (Pyinmana), and the Rector of Agriculture University expressed words of thanks.
