Diplomatic Meeting: Prime Minister meets Myanmar diplomats

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Wednesday met with the Ambassadors and Charge’ de Affaires ad Interim who are assigning duties on foreign missions in Nay Pyi Taw.
In his speech, the Prime Minister explained that the diplomats were summoned to witness the recent development of Myanmar. Being situated strategically in geographical condition, Myanmar practices the independent, active and non-aligned foreign policy.
The Prime Minister cited that it the duty of diplomats assigned to foreign missions to implement this policy, constantly observing the progress in the neighbouring countries and world nations.
Due to the political conflicts, occurred in 2020, the country faced sanctions and pressures from the international community. He stressed the need to strive for providing updates on recent true situations in the country to the global stage. He urged all to make diplomatic actions for the benefits of the country, through effective use of political, economic and cultural relations.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the responsibility to tackle the obstacles faced by the Myanmar citizens abroad, who are in foreign lands for various circumstances, ensuring their mental security. Concerning the enforcement of People’s Military Service Law, the Prime Minister said considerable action will be made to avoid burden for the country, calling for duty to the reasonable force of a specific age group.
Likewise, the Reserve Forces Law doesn’t mean to call back all the veterans but only those are relevant for assignment. He urged all the diplomats to make strenuous efforts for the interest of the nation and its people.
Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U ThanSwe reported on the work implementations for foreign policies and diplomatic relations in international arena. The attendee diplomats provided updates on existing bilateral relations and plans for further strengthening, stance on Myanmar by the host nations and diplomatic matters.
In his conclusion, the Prime Minister stressed that the State Administration Council is striving to hold the multi-party democracy election, transferring state duty to the winning party.
Moreover, Myanmar is ready to repatriate the displaced persons in Bangladesh if they met the specific criteria, in line with the bilateral agreements. He reiterated that the government is making control measures on the armed conflicts and misunderstanding in the country, upholding the Three Main National Causes. He urged all to carry out the diplomatic duties with patriotic spirit, since good contribution and assistance could be achieved through good relations and cooperation with international community.
