Tourism industry: Regional Tourism Work Committee held a meeting

The Taninthayi Region Regional Tourism Work Committee held its (4/2022) coordination meeting at the meeting hall of the region government office at 10 AM on Monday.

At the meeting, the Chairman of Taninthayi Region Regional Tourism Work Committee Chief Minister U Myat Ko said that the hotels which received "Health and Safety Protocols” medal will be awarded the HSP medals during the meeting.

The tourism industry is one of the crucial industries in Taninthayi Region. The tourism industry can be expanded as much as we can in the region in connection with the natural resources such as beaches, forests and islands and the job opportunities can be created etc.

Next, the Chief Minister awarded “HSP” medals to the 7 hotels which received the "Health and Safety Protocols- HSP".

Then, the committee secretary clarified the status of completing implementations on the decisions made in the previous meetings and license application proposals regarding with the service sector, the committee members gave suggestions on the sustainable development of the hotel and tourism sector in the region and the Chief Minister coordinated necessaries on the discussions and suggestions, it’s reported.
