Paying homage to Sangha: SAC member paid homage to Sangha in Hopong

Member of State Administration Council Khun San Lwin accompanied by Shan State Ministers, Chairman of the administrative body of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone U Khun Ye Htwe and members, commander of Hopong military station and Senior officials, responsible officials from Pa-O National Organization (PNO), Chairman and members of Township Administration Body arrived at Namt Huu monastery in Kyauktan Village-tract, Hopong Township, Shan State (South) in the morning on May 6 and paid homage to the members of Sangha and offered the cash donation.

Next, the SAC member and officials paid homage to the remains of the presiding Sayadaw of Namt Huu monastery Baddanta Vayama and offered day meal to the members of Sangha.The 101-year-old and 81 years in monkhood presiding Sayadaw of Namt Huu monastery Baddanta Vayama passed away on 26th April.

Before his demise, Sayadaw served as Hopong Township Jotikarama Ovadacariya, Sangha Ovadacariya for Pa-O literature and culture propagation committee, Hopong Township Thirimingala Ovadacariya, Ovadacariya of Hopong Township Pariyatti Palaka examination and the Ovadacariya of Myanmar Nagapurasasanalankara Samane Examination and the cremation ceremony for the remains of the Sayadaw will be held in Namt Huu Village in the afternoon on 6th May, it’s reported.
